I always think of you when everything turns from gray to green. How you would show up on a Saturday morning with a fully loaded backpack, snag a snack after having hiked the LONG way from Mom's house to mine. You were always so happy on the trails...I promised I would hike Ranier for you...that mountain was yours to climb...I've done it in spirit many times...We've hiked bits and pieces of the Applachian Trail...I feel your presence in those moments. Those we love are never far from our thoughts...I imagine your heaven full of trails, trees and lots of camping...

Crying....

Sweet. That's quite an accomplishment doing from GA to Maine on the trail. We hiked a bit on it and I loved it. Here's to our outdoorsy brothers!

Hi Connie.
I climbed Mt Katahdin when I was in the US in 1990. So many years ago now. It was quite a climb that is still in my memories, mostly because we were stuck in an electrical storm at the top and it is one of the times in my life, I thought it might be my last.
What joy your brother and his friend have in their faces. You must miss him as I understand so well.
Thanks for dropping by my blog and saying hi. Yes, it seems we do have a number of things in common. Thanks for your thoughts.
I will be back to visit.
Have a lovely weekend. All the best to you, Felix
