Who could resist that cute puppy face? He's just adorable (if a bad puppy). I feel your pain though, Sally chewed up a very cute and expensive, but very painful, pair of shoes. They're now in her toy basket.

uh-oh! sounds like someone's got her hands full... I don't miss THAT phase AT ALL.
He'll grow out of it. In about three years!

Have you tried startling him? Thing is, you have to catch him being naughty and then you literally scare the bad out of him.
If he's that much lab, there's two other things you can try.
1) Labs are people dogs. When he misbehaves, ignore him; no talking, no petting, no chastising, no looking at him. It's hard, but he'll eventually make the connection that bad things = no attention.
2) Labs are workers/thinkers... try switching up his toys every few days. Give him things to do. Hide his toys... Bailey helps me bring in groceries, take out recycling and helps carry twigs to the composter. Once he realizes he can help, he'll enjoy it.

Wow. That was long. I need a nap.

This is why I got a DOG instead of a PUPPY :) Although, she does have a tendency to dig when she gets bored...

This is one of those moments when you probably had to laugh to keep from crying.

Okay, better late than never. I just found your post. Duncan reminds of of my daughter's Lab, Boo (I say daughter tongue in cheek). Boo will chew anything, up to and including our furnace filter. Did I mention it was STILL in the furnace when she ripped it to shreds? Plumbing fitings, my granddaughter's horse head stick thing, lightbulbs, it doesn't matter. Many times I've sent my daughter to the basement with a lawn and leaf bag and a broom. However, the one thing she's never touched is my shoes. I love her for that!
