Can We Tawk?

On a recent excursion to Swan Lake and Iris Gardens with the granddarlings, these lovely Black Australian Swans were seen exhibiting some quite raucous behavior. The Black Australians are generally the most sociable of all swans...not so much during mating season.

Hey! Hey! We're talking to you...hmmpft...some birds just can't take a joke.

Ike and Tina get their feathers ruffled and leave in a Huff!
If you have ever wondered where the expression "get your feathers ruffled" came from...now you know.
Can you believe the layer of pollen on the water? We spent a lovely albeit very hot day observing the variety of water fowl...admiring flowers...playing...picnicking...Life is Very, Very Good!

Ooooh I found an old post of mine and if you look carefully you may see a black swan. Originally coming over to this country from Spaon... I'm a history buff when it comes to animals! xx
