Snips and snails and puppy-dogs' tails

What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails, and puppy-dogs' tails,
That's what little boys are made of.
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice, and everything nice,
That's what little girls are made of.
or the modern version:
What are little boys made of?
Frogs and snails And puppy-dogs' tails,
That's what little boys are made of.
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice, and everything nice,
That's what little girls are made of.
The grand darlings spent most of the weekend with me and we had quite a series of adventures.

On Saturday we visited Alan's Market. They have a huge greenhouse filled with tomatoes. The children enjoyed visiting the greenhouse, watching koi in the pond and choosing flowers for Mimi and I. Most of Saturday was spent playing with the water table and boats...filling and refilling the "canals" Getting as much of everything wet as possible. We discovered a soon to be family living in my ferns.

Hunter, the ever early riser played in the yard with the puppy, watched birds and collected little slimy things. Anna slept in.

and because you can never have enough cute...Duncan (of the feet and head in the water bowl pup)

His name should probably be Lucky Chance.

Hunter is squealing b/c Duncan keeps biting his toes. I could watch Hunter say "snails are slow" all day long LOL

Such a lot of cuteness all in one post! What a doll your little grandson is. I guess it's just as well that snails don't know how to get out, eh? And whatever it is that pup has ahold of is a goner! (So does the child that sleeps in like to stay up late? Seems like there's always one at each end!)

Connie, your voice is magical.. so sweet! Such a beautiful accent. My Philly Tawk is too UGLY. And your grandson & the pups are soosoooososoososo adorable. Very fortunate I have not stumbled onto a puppy. I'm having a tough enough time dealing w/ my upstairs neighbor! LOL!! Good thing they aren't giving out grandsons either!
