So I was wondering...anyone else notice the extreme good looks of the highway patrol on motorcycles? I have first hand knowlege due to the difficulty I have driving the speed limit!
My car is sleek and designed for speed. It is not happy when optimal speed and performance are not up to par. As I pulled over in a church parking lot and believe me I said a prayer...this cutie walks up to my car and says "Are you late for work?" I say, "no, I work for my husband and I am having some kind of muscle spasm" (yep, that would be my heart flippin and floppin)
Well, I guess he took one look at my wet hair, lack of make up and just maybe I reminded him of his MOTHER! He took the requisite driver's license, registration and said, "I'll be right back"
I am sure you will is what I am thinking along with he looks as good going as he does coming AND he is young enough to be my son! That very dear boy let me go with a warning to slow down. My adventure was last week and I have since passed "my buddy" many times. I think the highway patrol has an all points bulletin out on my car and I. A very dear man in uniform followed me just about all the way to work this morning. Have you ever noticed how poorly you drive when being followed by law enforcement?
I have carried my warning ticket around with me mostly because it reminds me to SLOW DOWN! It is symbolic of my need for speed. It is a metaphoric reminder to slow the heck down in my day to day existence. Every moment does not have to be spent multi tasking (really it doesn't) and rushing from one thing to the next. When I feel as if everything is rushing by in a blur...like how did my car get from home to work...where was I during the drive...I know I must slow down and change up the routine. No one wants to get entrenched too deeply in a rut they have created. This girl is emerging from a self imposed cocoon donning some bright colors and fluttering to a lovely nectar filled flower or two! Is your life on full auto pilot at maximum speed? Come smell the roses with me and just maybe we'll drag out the bubbles or fingerpaints!
